Dad and lad plan sponsored head shave for St Rocco’s Hospice

AN eight-year-old boy and his dad are planning to do a sponsored head shave to help raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington.

Daniel Cowell, aged eight, from Longbarn, decided he wanted to hep raise funds for the hospice and then talked his dad Martin, into joining him – a remarkabe achievement as “daddy is pecious about his hair!”
They are hoping to raise £2,500 for the charity which launched a fund-raising appeal following the cancellation of vaious events due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Martin said: “Myself and my son Daniel will be shaving our hair off for St Rocco’s Hospice because we want to help those in need.
“When Daniel said what he wanted to do to help sick peope I couldn’t really say no.”
The headshave will take place a week today Sunday, May 3 at 4pm.
