Co-op store closes after being hit by flooding

A CO-OP store at Warrington was closed this morning after being hit by flooding.
The closure of the store at Heatley Mere, Lymm led to early morning customers descending on other convenience stores in the area – and rumours that the closure was due to panic buying caused by the coronavirus situation.
But a notice on the store door apologised for inconvenience to customers and stated the closure was due to flooding.
It is believed the flooding was due to a burst pipe in the building.

*The store re-opened later this morning.
