Youth Club says thank you for Christmas support!

OnSide Warrington Youth Club’s (WYC) annual Christmas campaign has prompted a huge response from across Warrington and the charity wants to say thank you!

For the sixth year WYC has hosted an early Christmas Day celebration inviting local families to join them for a two-course festive lunch, games, entertainment and a visit from Santa.

Dave McNicholl, CEO said “Hosting 150 people for lunch can only be achieved through the support from many individuals and businesses. We have been staggered by the volume of offers of help and the many donations of food items, toys, gifts and money. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and to our 150 plus volunteers who have helped wrap presents, pack food hampers and serve lunches.

“This event has become bigger and better every year and is without doubt one of the most special days on our calendar. The WYC team started planning this in the Summer and their organisational skills, professionalism and attention to detail is evident throughout the event.”

Presents were given to the young people attending the Christmas Family Day and more will go to those who were unable to join us. Food hampers containing essentials and treats will be delivered to families needing a little extra help this year.
