Three charged after Bewsey stabbing

UPDATED:A man and two women have been charged following a stabbing at Bewsey, Warrington, yesterday Monday.

Clint Baker, aged 25 has been charged with Actual Bodily Harm, possession of a bladed article and possession of cocaine with intent to supply in relation to the stabbing in Bewsey, yesterday.

Baker will appear in court tomorrow, Wednesday.

Police say the arrests and charges involved lots of hard work by two blocks of CID, the whole of the BIT along with the initial intensive management of the incident by Warrington D block response, Cheshire Firearms Officers and officers from Widnes who also assisted along with officers from Warrington Beat Management.

Cheshire Police take a zero tolerance to knife crime and county lines drug dealers.

The 22-year-old victim remains in hospital following the alleged stabbing incident on Longshaw Street yesterday (Monday) morning, and police say his condition is now stable.

Meanwhile Bethany Woods, 19 and Leah Holzman, 26 both from Orford, have been charged with obstructing police following the incident and will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on November 15.

Earlier today a Cheshire police spokesperson said: “At 10.09am on Monday, October 28, police were called to reports of a stabbing on Longshaw Street.

“Officers attended to the scene and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries to his stomach.

“He remains in hospital with injuries not believed to be critical.

“Leah Holzman and Bethany Woods have been charged with obstructing police.

“Both will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, November 15.”
