POLICE are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision on the M62 at Warrington last night left a 20-year-old local man in a critical condition in hospital.
The crash happened at 7.46pm last night (Wednesday 30 January) between junction 8 at Gemini, Westbrook and junction 7 Prescot on the M62.
There was a collision between a car and two HGVs on the westbound carriageway and a short time later a pedestrian was hit by a number of vehicles. As a result both carriageways were shut for several hours.
A 20-year-old man from Warrington sustained life threatening injuries and is currently in a critical condition in hospital.
