WORK on a £170,000 scheme to adapt and improve Stockton Heath Library for its new, expanded role, will start in April.
It is hoped the building will be ready to open for its new life in July.
Originally, the project was due to be started in March, but preparatory work was dogged by delays.
The plan is for the library to become home to Stockton Heath Parish Council and a number of other organisations. It is hoped to also provide a café in the building – although its main purpose will remain as a library.
