Small businesses to be showcased at LiveWire’s free event

SMALL businesses and entrepreneurs still have the chance to get involved with LiveWire’s ‘Love Local Business’ event which is being held later this month.

Aimed at showcasing a range of local small businesses and services the event is at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Sunday November 25; admission is free.

It is the first time LiveWire has hosted such a gathering, which offers a free promotional opportunity for the small businesses taking part.

The event demonstrates LiveWire’s commitment to support the growth of Warrington’s local economy by helping promote small businesses.

The ‘Love Local Business’ event will also give people the chance to learn more about some of the products and services available in the area, get some business advice and even do a bit of shopping – all under one roof.

The event has been organised by LiveWire’s Community Librarian Team who work tirelessly to support the Libraries Connected vision to create inclusive, modern, sustainable and high quality public library services.  They achieve this by organising and delivering a range of events and activities such as this one.

Wendy Molyneux, Strategic Libraries Manager, said: “We are really excited to be supporting small local businesses by creating opportunities for them to gain new customers, open the door to new markets and help them make their dreams of a thriving business a reality.

“We are really looking forward to hosting this event and hope that people come along to learn more about the local businesses taking part, have a browse – and take the opportunity to pick up a few early Christmas presents!”

Local business owner, Ruth Smalley, who runs jewellery company Glitterarti from her home in Great Sankey said “I’m really excited to be attending the Love Local Business event at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.  I think this is an amazing opportunity and a fantastic way to raise the profile of small businesses like mine.”

Jay Spall, from Amber Coffee Roasters said: “We are really pleased to be part of this event which is a great platform for us to promote our products.  We are a local business working hard and striving to produce and provide high quality goods paired with excellent customer service.”
