Warrington is becoming a capital of music culture!

IT would appear the recent Neighbourhood Weekender event at Victoria Park was a huge success – so much so plans have already been put in place for next year.

From all accounts there were few crime related incidents and noise levels were acceptable.

It certainly helped put Warrington on the map and certainly caused a lot less trouble than the annual Creamfields event just down the road at Daresbury.

Granted Creamfields is a much bigger event, although 25,000 music fans on Victoria Park each night, is a significant number of people.

What with the Warrington Music Festival and Riv Fest alongside the numerous musical acts which appear at Warrington Parr Hall throughout the year – the town is certainly becoming a capital of music culture.

May be at long last Warrington is turning a corner in its bid to become a capital of culture!
