Ruth to make a 15,000 ft skydive for youth club

A WARRINGTON businesswoman is to conquer her fear of heights to do a 15,000 ft skydive.
Wine shop owner Ruth Yates, will make the leap on June 9 to raise funds for the Onside Warrington Youth Club.
When she’s not running Corks Out, her shop in Stockton Heath, Ruth is a mentor for the youth club.
She said: “I have been in the privileged position to support a young lady to make some positive changes in her life. The mentoring programme at Onside Warrington Youth Club not only changes lives but, saves lives.
“To support one child through the mentoring program costs £1,000 per year – that’s the price of a cup of coffee per day.
“I’m hoping to raise enough to support just three needy children, however, If I can support more I would be over the moon.
I am therefore, going to take on my extreme fear of heights and dislike of small aeroplanes and undertake a Skydive from 15,000ft to help raise funds for this incredibly valuable programme.”
