WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed young French forward Benjamin Jullien will be transferring to Catalans Dragons with immediate effect for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old forward had 12 months left on his contract but requested a release to be closer to his family.

Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick said; “Ben and his representative explained that he did not wish to return to Warrington as he needed to be closer to his family.

“Although we discussed a number of options Ben simply wanted to return to France. We respect Ben’s decision to be closer to his family and subsequently agreed a transfer fee with Catalan.

“We wish Ben all the best at his new Club.”

Jullien scored six tries in 36 appearances at the Wolves, having signed from North Wales Crusaders at the start of the 2016 season. He also had experience in Australia as a youngster with Brisbane Broncos.
