Two men charged following attempted ATM attack at Risley

TWO men have been charged  in relation to an attempted ATM attack in Warrington involving causing an explosion likely to endanger life.

David Culshaw, 48, and Michael Culshaw, 50, were both arrested on Monday 30 October after officers conducted warrants at their homes in Greater Manchester.

David Culshaw of Rugby Road, Leigh, is charged with attempted theft from meter/automatic machine, arson and possession of a controlled Class A drug and causing an explosion likely to endanger life/injure property.

Michael Culshaw, 50 of Alexandra Apartments, Wilkinson Street, Leigh is charged with attempted theft from meter/automatic machine, arson and causing an explosion likely to endanger life/injure property.

The charges relate to an incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday 16 October outside a Spar convenience store on Warrington Road, Risley.

Both Michael and David have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court later today, Tuesday 31 October.
