A TEAM of staff from a property services company raised £4,336 for Warrington Disability Partnership by completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
They conquered the 5,200 ft ordeal – hiking up and down Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in just over 12 hours!
The team was from Norcott Brook-based Pennington Choices, who provide a range of property-related technical and professional services to the public and private sectors.
Managing dire3ctor Mark Seaborn said: “I’m very proud of our team’s dedication and achievement. WDP is a fantastic charity which we have continued to support over the years. Our fundraising reached over £2,000, so we decided to match this and bring our total raised to £4,336.”
Dave Thompson, chief executive at Warrington Disability Partnership said “We are delighted that Pennington Choices decided to raise funds for WDP. Thank you to everyone who took part in the demanding Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. We are truly grateful for Pennington Choices’ ongoing support.”
WDP currently employ around 50 staff, of which more than 80 per cent are people with disabilities. The money raised by challenge will go into WDP’s Legacy Fund, through which they aim to recruit and train young people with disabilities to become the workforce of tomorrow.
