POLICE have confirmed they are still searching for the hit and run driver who left a 15-year-old school boy for dead at Great Sankey, Warrington, last week.
Reports on social media over the weekend indicated someone had been arrested – but police have confirmed this is not the case.
Penketh High School pupil Jack Emson suffered a broken leg, cuts and bruises all over his body and an injured eye and his father Ian Powell released images of his injuries to raise public awareness in a bid to catch the culprit who drove off last Wednesday evening leaving Jack for dead in the road.
The collision occurred at approximately 10.30pm last Wednesday on the A57, Sankey Way, near to where the road crosses Sankey Valley Park.
The vehicle involved was a dark saloon car which received damage to the front nearside of vehicle and to the windscreen. The vehicle was later recovered in Grasmere Avenue.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 932 of 1/6/2016.

Somebody somewhere knows who did this. Do the right thing and report the scum who left this young man suffering. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.
And stop thinking you owe the driver some form of allegiance for whatever reason. The sooner the driver of the car who drove off and left Jack Emerson for dead is caught the better.
