Wolves’ total ban on e-cigarettes

WARRINGTON Wolves are to implement a complete ban on e-cigarettes  throughout the Halliwell Jones Stadium from May 1.
The club announced this today as it was confirmed that Wolves and e-cigarette firm Truvape have ended their 18-month partnership agreement.
Warrington-Worldwide revealed the ending of the partnership on Saturday, ahead of today’s formal announcement
The agreement included sponsorship of the South Stand by Truvape and the lifting of a van on vaping in parts of the stadium – a move which angered many Wolves fans’
Both Wolves and Truvape have said the partnership agreement was a success.
The company worked with Wolves to educate fans about the health risks associated with smoking.
Gary Yeomans, UK Sales and Marketing Director of Truvape, commented “We have enjoyed a really productive partnership with Warrington Wolves over the last 18 months, in particular through our sponsorship of the South Stand.
“We reflect on the success of this partnership on our marketing strategy over the past 18 months and we wish Warrington Wolves good luck for the remainder of the 2016 Super League season and beyond.”
Roger Draper, Warrington Wolves Chief Executive, said “We have very much enjoyed working with Truvape over the last 18 months and wish them every success for the future.
“This is a really exciting time for Warrington Wolves as we look to the future and implementing a new commercial strategy, working with new and existing partners as well as expanding on our healthy stadia policy to take the club to new heights.”
The total vaping ban will run alongside the already existing no-smoking policy throughout the stadium.
