Day nursery rated “good” by education watchdog

A WARRINGTON day nursery and pre-school has been rated “good” by education watchdogs Ofsted.
The Callands Day Nursery and Pre-School in Gresford Close was awarded the judgement following a recent inspection.
Ofsted said: “Children enjoy rich, varied exploratory play opportunities and they are keen to make marks from an early age. This helps them to make good progress in their physical skills.”
The inspection report praises the nursery team and environment, concluding that “Children are highly engaged and staff provide varied and stimulating experiences matched to their developmental needs and interests. Babies are particularly confident explorers and their environment effectively supports their curiosity and developing independence.”
Nursery manager Denise Sharkey said: “We are delighted to receive a ‘Good’ judgement. This endorsement from Ofsted recognises all the hard work that my team has put in to ensure that every area of care and education is provided at the highest level for our children and their families.  As always our fundamental aim remains to ensure that we create the best possible environment in which children can flourish and naturally love learning forever.”
Callands Day Nursery is part of the nationwide Bright Horizons Family Solutions group.
