Exciting new brand for Warrington town centre

EXCITING new plans for the regeneration of Warrington Town centre have been unveiled by Warrington & Co MD Steve Park.

They include proposals for a new brand for the multi-million re-development of the Time Square and Warrington Market area of the town centre.

Names being considered for the project have been whittled down to three – Market Place, Time Square or Union Square.

The names were unveiled at the monthly Love Warrington meeting, which took pace at The Hub, the new office development in the Stadium Quarter, which has become a new home for Warrington & Co, who are managing the project.

Mr Park said it was important that the new development, which is currently under way had a “strong brand” and councillors and officers had drawn up the shortlist of three.

Members of the Love Warrington meeting gave overwhelming support for the Time Square brand, which retains the existing name of part of the site.

Further consultations will take place before a final decision is made.

Meanwhile the Next Love Warrington meeting will take place at Orford Park on Wednesday, March 16 at Orford, Park, when guest speaker will be LiveWire’s new Managing Director Emma Hutchinson.

  1. Not really grasping the context that is a “NEW” re brand… using pretty much the old names or in fact THE old name and switching a few words… *Slow clap* Great creative minds in this town.

  2. Was there consultation before the whittling down to three possibilities ? I admit to feeling quite negative about this whole redevelopment but such a banal branding is not going to get many people turned on to this project. For a historic town like Warrington to be ‘greyed’ down like this is depressing.
