Fire hits vehicle compound

THREE fire engines were called to a compound off Rushgreen Road, Lymm when fire broke out involving a number of vehicles.
Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, created a fire break and use hose reel jets to tackle the blaze and managed to prevent the flames spreading to a nearby portable building.
The fire was brought under control and crews continued to damp down around the area. They were at the scene for more than an hour.
Fire engines from Stockton Heath and Greater Manchester were involved in the operation.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire has not been revealed.
In a separate incident, firefighters from Warrington used a hose reel jet to extinguish a blaze involving a bale of hay on Dallam Playing Fields, off Longshaw Street, Warrington.
