Stockton Heath Festival’s four action packed days

FOUR action packed days, offering something for all ages and all interests, will start on July 2 when the annual Stockton Heath Festival gets under way.
There will be art, music, drama, comedy, poetry, dancing and  children’s entertainment.
The talent of local artists will be on show with an exhibition at St Thomas’ Church.
Music  will includes the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir, swing band Schwing with music from swing and Italian classics to  pop and soul,  Wire County with a variety of styles including Country, R & B and current pop while the finale night sees the return of the Fab Four top tribute group The Mersey Beatles.
The Warrington Light Opera are doing Songs from the Good Old Days and local schools will be coming together in a celebration of Gospel music.
In addition to this there will be lots of free music to delight visitors at the Festival Field On Sat and Sun.
Drama  will come from Festival favourites Oddsocks with their unique interpretation of Shakespeare’s witty battle of the sexes Much Ado About Nothing.
Stockton Heath Methodist Dramatic Society have “Happy Jack”written by John Godber based on the ups and downs of his grandparents’ 60 year marriage and a special treat with a local connection will be the children’s theatre production of Alice in Wonderland.
An adult comedy show will feature top North West comedians including writer, broadcaster and Phoenix Nights star Justin Moorhouse.
Children’s entertainment includes story telling, a cinema showing Paddington, a Zoo, Whizz the Wizard, face painting, scouting, sports taster sessions, theatre workshop and mountain biking display.
There will be local history displays from Latchford Local History Group and a talk from Janice Hayes of Warrington Museum and there will be a  photography competition, floral displays and demonstrations and ceramic painting.
Other events and attractions include a quiz night, canal boat trips, allotment open day, model railway display, bell ringing, treasure trail and fun dog show.
The popular arts and crafts and farmers market will provide a great shopping experience with original items and delicious food and drink.
