Counting under way in Latchford East

WITH the ballot boxes in and verification well underway early indications suggest the key Warrington South seat is too close to call – and there has already been talk of a re-count.

It would appear to be a two way fight between the former sitting MP David Mowat for the Conservatives and his Labour rival Nick Bent, who fell just 1500 votes short five years ago.

But in the North of the town Helen Jones looks set to win a fifth consecutive General Election for Labour.

Updates will be added throughout the night.

Meanwhile the local election count will not start until 5pmFriday.
