Youth radio leader to go live on US talk show

THE student boss of fledgling, Warrington-based online radio station Vibe Youth Radio is set to go live on the most successful talk radio show in the United States tomorrow (Sunday).
Vibe Youth Radio was the brainchild of Daniel Miller, 22, from Orford and was originally intended for Warrington only.
But Daniel decided there was a gap in the market and it would be a good idea to expand it across the whole of the UK.
It now has a team of around 20 youngsters, aged 13 to 26, learning about the radio industry and waiting to present their first ever live shows from June 3.
Daniel won a £300 grant from O2’s Think Big scheme, which aims to inspire, support and enable young people, to enable him to set up the station.
His aim is to inspire and motivate the next generation of radio enthusiasts.
He will be appearing on KJAG Radio Kansas tomorrow (Sunday) at 6pm UK Time as he explains the story of Vibe and also talks about the importance of youth centres across the UK and worldwide.
He believes youth centres have declined in recent years and that they can play a vital role in having a positive impact on young people.
More details about the radio station can be found at www.vibeyouthradio.co.uk
