FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington were called out to deal with a blaze involving a large quantity of hay.
The blaze was at a farm in Golborne Road, Hermitage Green, Winwick last night (Thursday)
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames which were engulfing a large hay bale and to prevent the fire from spreading.
No-one was hurt and there was no damage to buildings.
