TWO people were taken to hospital at Warrington early today after fire broke out in their home, filling the property with smoke.
The pair were suffering from the effects of smoke and were treated by paramedics at the scene first.
Two fire engines from Warrington dealt with the blaze in the bedroom of a bungalow in Green Lane, Padgate. Cause of the outbreak was an electric blanket.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
