POLICE and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer is to hold a live “web chat” allowing members of the public to ask him questions.
The online debate will take place on Monday, August 11 from 6pm until 7pm.
It will focus around the commissioner’s “Community Remedy” consultation, wanting to know the public’s thoughts on ways to deal with low level crimes and anti-social behaviour.
Mr Dwyer said: “I enjoy talking to members of the public, whether that’s face to face, on the phone or through digital media channels. I’m interested to see if anyone wants to elaborate on any thoughts they’ve had regarding suitable punishments for offenders committing low level crime, or whether someone has thought of an alternative punishment which isn’t listed in the consultation.
“Although this web chat is focussing on the Community Remedy Consultation, I would encourage anyone who has a question, no matter what it relates to, to ask me.”
The Commissioner is inviting questions through Twitter using the #askJohn, via email [email protected], Facebook www.facebook.com/cheshirepcc or by calling 01606 364000.
The Community Remedy consultation is available on www.cheshire-pcc.gov.uk, until August 15.
