A GUIDE group from Warrington has taken action to improve the lives of others by hosting a “Royal” Tea Party in aid of Children in Need.
The 2nd Appleton Guides raised £170 after hosting the “Royal” party.
The girl-only group are completing a series of challenges to celebrate the birth of Prince George to earn their Royal Baby Challenge Badge.
The girls are well aware of the importance of helping other people, and so decided to turn their tea party into a fundraising event.
Guide Emily Palmer, 12, said: “We had lots of fun serving our guests scones while also raising money for a very important cause, Children in Need.”
Girlguiding Appleton, which offers girls and young women the chance to have fun, make new friends and try new and exciting activities, is currently seeking new volunteers to support its Rainbow, Brownie and Guide sections.
Girlguiding welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds, ages, cultures, faiths and abilities. Anyone interested in volunteering with Girlguiding Appleton should call 0800 1 69 59 01 or visit www.girlguiding.org.uk
