Time capsule to be buried for 30 years

A TIME capsule is to be “buried” in the floor of the reception area of a new office building nearing completion at Warrington.
The time capsule will contain drawings by pupils at St Barnabas Primary School and will be placed in the new head office being built for Golden Gates Housing Trust overlooking Bank Park.
Children at the school took part in a drawing competition with the theme “Warrington in 30 years’ time, “Homes and Inventions in 30 years” and “Me in 30 years.”
Pupils have also made suggestions for what other objects should be placed in the capsule.
Winners of the competition were Layton Evans (Year 5) with his drawing of “himself in 30 years” and Megan Corlett (Year 6) with her drawing of “Warrington in 30 years” which depicted a “cleaner greener” Warrington, which is a major objective of the Trust.
Special Recognition also went to six runners up; Jay Pine, Lily Hunter, Grace Allen, Andrew Riley, Malikah Liyaqat and Kian Moran.
The Trust will move into Bank Park House in the spring and the time capsule will be placed during a special ceremony. It will be buried for 30 years, running parallel with the Trusts Thirty Year Investment Programme which sees £530 million being invested in homes and communities.
