Couple evicted after anti-social behaviour

A MAN and a woman have been evicted from their home at Warrington following complaints from neighbours of repeated acts of anti-social behaviour.
Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) applied to the court for possession of the property in Watkin Street, Warrington following complaints against Carl Simmons and Rachael Cunliffe.
The Trust were successful in their action for possession, following complaints from neighbours of noise, intimidation and damage to property.
But the couple did not leave the property.
GGHT returned to court and obtained a warrant for possession. Bailiffs and GGHT officers went to the property to complete the eviction.
GGHT chief executive Peter Mercer said: “We have been working hard with our partners, including Cheshire Police, to improve the quality of life for the residents of Watkin Street.
“We believe that this successful legal action will help to stop further anti-social behaviour in the area. It also sends out a strong warning to others that GGHT will not tolerate such behaviour and will always aim to take positive action.
“Any GGHT tenants who are worried about reporting anti-social behaviour should be aware that they can do so in complete confidence by calling the Trust free on 0800 25 26 27.”
