WARRINGTON Wolves held on for a narrow 12-14 victory over Catalan Dragons in France as the curtaincame down on the regular season in torrential rain in the South of France.
The Wolves opened up a 10-0 lead thanks to tries from Rhys Evans and Stefan Ratchford, with Brett Hodgson landing one conversion.
But the hosts hit back just before the break as Dureau crossed and add his own conversion to make it 6-10 at the break.
With defences on top the Dragons hit the front on 62 minutes through Menzies with Dureau again on target.
Chris Riley went over in the corner 10 minutes from time but Hodgson couldn’t add the extras.
The hosts attempted to level with a penalty but Dureau missed as the Wolves managed to hang on for victory.
The Wolves will now entertain Leeds Rhinos in the first round of the play-offs at the Halliwell Jones Stadium next Saturday, kick off 3pm.
