Playing with a frozen friend

VISITORS to Warrington Play and Sensory Centre enjoyed a session with a “frozen friend”.
They were treated to an interactive session with a dolphin-shaped ice sculpture as part of the work they do focusing on senses.
They watched and touched the dolphin as it melted.
The centre, at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub, is the first of its kind in Cheshire with state-of-the-art play and sensory facilities for disabled children, young people and adults.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, Warrington Borough Council’s executive member for children and young people’s services, said: “This is a great example of some of the fun, interactive sessions the play and sensory centre hold for their visitors, which really benefit them. There are different themes every week over summer at the unique centre so don’t miss out!”
Throughout the summer holidays the centre has been holding special themed sessions and activities. More information about the timetable or the centre itself can be found at www.warrington.gov.uk or by contacting 01925 817347
