THREE friends, two of them from Lymm, have raised more than £2,500 for charity after cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats.
Matt Hacker and Jamie Sharman, both of Lymm, and Neil Shand, of Comberbach, completed the 915 miles in eight days, to raise funds for the NW Air Ambulance Service and Headway, the Brain Injury Association.
Lymm and District Round Table donated £600 of the total.
Matt, a former RoundTable member, said: “When we first set out on the challenge we never dreamed we’d raise as much as we did. We’ve been amazed by people’s generosity.
“We’re also really grateful for the support we received along the way, with complete strangers willing us along and digging into their pockets to make a donation.”
The men are all members of North Cheshire Clarion Cycling Club, based in Warrington.
