Connor to play for the Queen

ARMY cadet Connor Davidson, aged 13, from Lymm has been selected to play in the Army Cadet Force Massed Pipes and Drums Band, in front of the Queen, at Balmoral Castle, in August.
Connor is a member of Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force’s Pipes and Drums.
He joined the Army Cadet Force in 2010 as a recruit, and since then has become a most proficient piper, and at a recent training course in Inverness, was commended by his instructors for his excellent style of playing.
His younger sister, Becky is also a piper in the band, and Mum Nicola, is a volunteer adult instructor, handling the administration.
Since joining the cadets, Connor has travelled all over the United Kingdom and to a number of European Countries, taking part in both military parades and civilian piping competitions. He will be travelling to France later in the year, to take part in Remembrance ceremonies in the town of Valenciennes.
Earlier this year Connor attended the Annual Army Cadet Force and Combined Cadet Forces Piping and Drumming Concentration in Inverness, and last month, he was selected to be a member of the Central Army Cadet Force Pipes and Drums Band which entertained at the Scottish Reserve Forces and Cadets Association Beating The Retreat ceremony, in the centre of Edinburgh.
