EVERYONE is invited to take part in Warrington Borough Council’s Big Care Debate.
Launched last month, the Big Care Debate consultation is seeking people’s views about how social care needs to change to help more people to live more independent lives in their own homes.
The consultation is aimed at service users, their carers and families, partner agencies, care providers and representative groups, however, anyone can take part and share their views even if they don’t currently use any social care services.
Joe Blott, the borough council’s executive director for neighbourhoods and communities, said: “The Big Care Debate is all about considering the best ways to use a smaller budget, which will also allow us to continue to provide high levels of care and also prioritise limited resources so that people with the greatest needs receive the most help.
“Ensuring high quality social care is a topic that should involve everyone within the community and we want as many people as possible to contribute to this exercise to help reshape services for the future.”
It’s easy to get involved as there are a number of ways to take part:
a.. Speak to staff to find out more and give your views at the following drop in sessions: Thursday May 10, 2-4pm and 6-8pm, The Pyramid, Palmyra Square; Wednesday, May 30, 2-4pm, Alford Hall, Manchester Road.
There are also targeted questionnaires online at www.warrington.gov.uk/BigCareDebate, comments can be emailed to [email protected] or paper questionnaires can be filled in and returned to The Big Care Debate, Warrington Borough Council, Bewsey Old School, Lockton Lane, Warrington WA5 0BF.
The consultation ends on June 30.
