Charity group seeks supermarket vouchers

CHARITY group CAFT – The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust – is asking people in the Warrington area to send in supermarket vouchers to help them buy equipment for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.
The charity has had some amazing success with this scheme in previous years – last year they collected an astonishing 21,000 vouchers – a 30 per cent increase on their 2010 total.
These vouchers enabled them to buy arts and sensory play materials which would have otherwise cost the charity £800.
The charity, based at Millington, near Lymm, provides holidays, respite and daytrips for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
Fundraiser Helen Crowther said: “I don’t think many people will realise we are eligible to take part in this amazing scheme. Its easy to assume that only schools can benefit. However, last year thanks to the support of people from all over the region, and beyond, we collected more vouchers than ever and were able to buy some fantastic equipment which has been put to excellent use here at The Adventure Farm.”
Vouchers can be collected until May 20 and should be sent to Helen at The Adventure Farm, Reddy Lane, Millington, WA143RE by June 22.
