The evening will celebrate a wide range of achievement across all aspects of school life.
Head teacher Tim Long said: “We are delighted to celebrate being among one of the few state school’s to be awarded its own Duke of Edinburgh Award operating licence.
“Parents appreciate the important extra curricular activity available and support their children in gaining skills and participating in activities which will benefit them in the future.”
Currently, the school has 80 pupils doing the DoE bronze award, 35 on the silver and 20 on the gold.
Assistant head Bridget Neacy said: “The DoE award requires a lot of commitment to gain skills and participate in activities that can help students in today’s competitive jobs market.
“Participating in the awards also offers adventure, fun and helps with gaining confidence while learning life skills at the same time. Potential employers tend to take more notice of applicants who have squared up to the challenges of these awards.”
