MORE than 30 students and three teachers from Appleton College – the sixth form at Bridgewater High School – went on an action packed trip to a residential centre on Anglesey.
The team-building trip to Tyn y Felin, set amid rocky creeks and heather clad moorland near Rhoscolyn, offered the youngsters a range of activities such as body-boarding, raft building, abseiling, climbing and many others.
Head of Appleton College Julie Burns said: “We wanted to give our year 12 students a completely different experience to that they would get in school. “Through our enrichment activity programme this trip certainly gave everyone lots of practical experience, particularly in teamwork. The activities helped build people’s self-confidence and stretched them in many ways.”
Student Katie Holland said: “I got to know people I have never spoken to before in college through excellent team building exercises and games. I had so much fun.”
