WARRINGTON Wolves’ popluar hooker Jon Clarke will be leaving the club at the end of the current season after agreeing a two year deal at Super League newcomers and local rivals Widnes.
Clarke joined Warrington back in 2001 and is currently in his testimonial this year.
His earlier career saw him play for both Wigan and London, and on the international scene. Jon made his Warrington debut on 20 May 2001 and throughout his time at the club has made 260 appearances touching down for 62 tries and scoring two goals recording 252 points.
Jon has not only represented the club on the pitch but has also became part of the community with his many appearances over the years and has taken time out to assist in the youth development side of the club bringing the players of the future through the ranks.
Wolves Head of Coaching and Rugby Tony Smith added: “We wish Jon well for the future and would like to thank him for the commitment he has given to the club for so many years. He’s been a fantastic influence both on and off the field and it would be fitting for him to go out on a high. We would like to wish him and his family the very best for the future.”
