YOUNG people interested in learning new skills during the summer are being invited to an open day at the Pyramid, Warrington, on July 18.
The “Energisers Project” aims to offer young people aged 16-19 the opportunity to try a range of activities in sport, art and media over the summer, which could lead to them gaining a nationally recognised coaching qualification.
The open day, in partnership with Warrington Borough Council, is to allow young people to find out more about the project.
Sessions are free of charge, run over a 10-week period, and include sports coaching, dance tutoring, youth club work, media mentoring, fishing coaching and arts and crafts tutoring.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the borough council’s executive member for leisure, community and culture, said: “This project offers young people aged 16-19 the chance to participate in a variety of arts, sports and media tutoring sessions that could set them on an exciting new career path.
“The sessions are run over 10-weeks and also give young people the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised coaching qualification.”
The open day runs from 12 to 3pm.
