Trade your car for a bus!

WARRINGTON bus company Network Warrington is today urging people to trade their old cars in for a bus!
The bus company has launched a partnership with Trade Your Transport, and is encouraging local residents to go green and environmentally dispose of their old scrap car, in return for 6 months worth of local bus travel across the whole of their Network.
Rebecca Roddis, Press Officer for Cartakeback.com, the Company behind trade your transport, said: “The idea is to encourage people to dispose of their end of life vehicles legally and responsibly. We will reward them by giving them better value for their scrap car in the form of a 6 month Network Warrington (Network Zone) bus pass valued at
£250, which is worth more than the scrap value of the car alone.”
David Squire, Managing Director of Network Warrington added: “When we heard about Trade Your Transport, we thought it was a great idea, not just to encourage the use of alternative forms of transport, but also because of the positive effect it will have on the environment, by taking older cars off the road and helping to reduce carbon
emissions.”
To trade your transport and do your bit for the environment, simply visit www.tradeyourtransport.com/network-warrington-reward.aspx or call the team on 0844 669 0996.

  1. What a good idea. Does anyone have an old banger I can have please šŸ™‚ Must admit the headline caught my eye as I thought it meant trade an old banger in and get your very own bus…. I had great but short lived plans for a DIY motorhome OOPS. Only downisde is that people may trade their bangers in, get their free tickets but still buy another car but i’m not nocking the idea as it’s a good one.

  2. Just make the fares cheaper.

The buses run anyway, there is no loss only gain on people more keen to use the cheaper service. can you also explain why a bus from harrison square dallam to the bus station costs Ā£1.80 yet a bus to the bus station from winwick road collegiate is Ā£1.60 the distance as the crow flies is almost identical, yet because to increase revenue someone decided to take a less direct route to town, those with a poorer service because of this decision pay more? if the people at the bus stops were wiser they would share a taxi just two people means they would save money and get a better, more comfortable direct service…when you wake up to these facts maybe public transport will be successful. the trip to town from any of them locations should be no more than 80p to be worthwhile for the public.
