The students edited video footage of the presentations given by guest speakers who dealt with important industry topics such as cloud computing, mobile computing, deployment, desktop virtualisation and phone technology.

Games development student Thomas O’Hara, 18, said: “It was an amazing and informative experience getting the opportunity to create professional work for a global company that sets so many industry standards.
“It was great to challenge my knowledge and use of the software as well as enhance my skills. Steve at Comworks and all our tutors at the college gave us lots of support and training on extra techniques in creating online content in the run up to the Tech Days.
“It’s something I will always remember and I am very grateful to Comworks, Warrington Collegiate and Microsoft for the great opportunity.”
Microsoft academic audience manager Phil Cross said: “The six students did a great job and showed great professionalism in their work. We’re really looking forward to showcasing their films.
“At Microsoft we really try to encourage and engage with students and share some valuable insight into what the industry is like. It was a pleasure having them on board and we wish them all the best their future endeavours.”
