YOUNG Welsh winger Rhys Williams could get a return to first team action for the Wolves on Friday evening after being named in Tony Smith’s 19 man squad to face the Crusaders – where the youngster has been playing on loan.
While Williams, who has had three previous first team call ups, has been named in the squad, there is no place in the 19 for fellow youngster Rhys Evans.
Meanwhile Lee Briers is also in the 19 and set to return for the 8pm clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium after recovering from a dead leg.
Wolves coach Smith said: “The Crusaders have had a disrupted season and therefore haven’t been able to find the continuity and consistency that they’re probably looking for. I’m in no doubt that they’ll be looking for that this weekend…They’ve got some very dangerous, capable and experienced players so we need to be very much on our best game and find the form we are trying to regain.”
Wolves Squad: 11 Louis Anderson 23 Ryan Atkins 4 Chris Bridge 6 Lee Briers 10 Garreth Carvell 15 Jon Clarke 18 Mike Cooper 17 Simon Grix 13 Ben Harrison 14 Mickey Higham 1 Brett Hodgson 5 Joel Monaghan 9 Michael Monaghan 8 Adrian Morley 7 Richie Myler 26 David Solomona 12 Ben Westwood 22 Rhys Williams 16 Paul Wood
