Big conversation…about pot holes, speed, shops

0

POTHOLES, speeding, anti-social behaviour and a lack of shops – all were topics at the “Big Conversation” – a Question Time-style event organised by Lymm and district Churches Together.
Almost 100 people attended the event at Lymm Youth and Community Centre – and most felt it was a success, providing an opportunity for dialogue between the community and those who can help shake the community.
A panel of local people answered questions which had arisen from a community audit which had been undertaken in the village the previous week when more than 500 questionnaires were returned.
Topics included the lack of retail diversity, anti social behaviour, speeding, potholes, dog fouling, educational standards, the role of the church in the community and the “Big Society”.
The results of the survey will be analysed and a report published.
It will be made available for the village and also published on the Lymm Baptist Church web site – www.lymmbaptistchurch.co.uk
