MORE than half 17-25 year-olds in Warrington could be missing from the borough’s electoral roll – and so unable to vote.
Borough council elections take place on Thursday, May 5 so anyone – of any age – should be ensuring they are registered to vote.
Election will be held in every part of the borough other than Hatton, Stretton and Walton, Poulton South and Westbrook.
Anyone can register if they are 16 or older, a British citizen or an Irish, Commonwealth or European Union citizen who is resident in the UK. But they have to be 18 or older to actually vote.
Details are available from the council’s electoral services team on 01925 442184 or by emailing [email protected]
Alternatively, forms can also be picked up from the Town Hall or Contact Warrington or downloaded from the democracy and elections area of the council’s website – www.warrington.gov.uk
