Swimmers set new county records

TWELVE Swimmers from Warrington Dolphins competed in the Cheshire Masters Championships against teams from across the county.
The Warrington swimmers had a successful event setting two new county records.
Sixty six-year-old Billy Dutton and Keith Bosson, aged 55, both took 1st place in their respective age groups in the gruelling 400m freestyle event. In the same event, Chris Byrne and Christian Wade were both placed second in their age groups and Michaela Richard was third
Adrian Moylan won comfortably in the novice 50m freestyle event taking first place with a good time of 30.84s. Chris Byrne had a great swim in the 50m breaststroke setting a new county record in a time of 36.39s.
In the 100m IM veteran Billy Dutton clocked up his second gold of the night and Russ Mason grabbed the second record with a great time of 1 min 9 secs.
Gerry Kelleher also placed first in the 50m fly with a time of 34.32s.
Billy Dutton earned his hat-rick of golds of the evening in the 50m freestyle with Gerry Kelleher and Russ Mason both placed second in their age groups for the same event.
