£28m school set to open – officially

THE new £28m school and community campus at Culcheth High School is to be officially opened tomorrow (Friday).
Exciting new community facilities will be on show, including a new gymnasium and the town’s newest Sure Start children’s centre.
Pupils will be putting on a musical performance for guests.
The official opening will be performed by Roger Hunt, local hero of the 1966 England World Cup final victory over Germany.
In fact, the school has been operating since the end of the summer holidays and pupils moved in before the holidays.
Head teacher Martyn Froggett, Coun Sheila Woodyatt, Warrington Borough Council’s executive member for children and young people, Kath O’Dwyer, executive director, children and young people’s services and Diana Terris, chief executive of the council will all be in attendance.
Warrington North MP and Culcheth resident Helen Jones and the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, Coun and Mrs John Joyce are also attending.
