Temporary speed limit extended

A TEMPORARY 30mph speed limit introduced on the A56 Chester Road, Walton, Warrington on March 1 is to be extended a second time.
The restriction was implemented to allow Warrington Borough Council to renew road markings and studs as part of a speed limit review scheme.
It was originally intended to end on March 22, but weather conditions led to delays and the restriction was extended for four weeks until April 19.
However, the weather has continued to cause problems and the limit will now be imposed for a further four weeks to ensure completion of the work.
