HIGH Legh Tennis Club has been awarded Tennis Clubmark status – an LTA award which recognises it as a quality club.
To celebrate, the club is inviting guests to visit, meet the coach and inspect their three floodlit courts off Knutsford Road, High Legh – just opposite the Bears Paw inn.
Tennis Clubmark provides a framework to help clubs develop and to ensure that their programmes, policies and procedures are in line with best practice.
High Legh Tennis Club, which plays in the Warrington Tennis League, is committed to on-going development and providing facilities and opportunities for all sections of the community.
Chairman Sharon Senn said: “It’s great that we are being recognised as a quality club that is contributing towards the future of British tennis.
“The Clubmark award is richly deserved and evidences that our club is working safely, communicating well with players and parents and that we are delivering a quality on-court programme”.
The club has an active coaching programme in place. Club night runs each Wednesday for children from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm and for adults from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Anyone is welcome to visit, meet the coach and “have a go” free for their first session.
Anyone interested should call Sharon Senn on 077099 62241.
