Town centre road faces closures

A BUSY town centre road in Warrington will be closed for two weekends from Friday April 16.
The temporary prohibition of driving will affect the westbound carriageway of the A5061 Bridge Foot from its junction with Warrington Bridge to its junction with Wilson Patten Street.
Closure will be in place on April 16 to 19 and 23 to 26.
The alternative route will be via A49 Mersey Street, A49 Fennell Street, A49 Brick Street, A57 Midland Way, A57 Froghall Lane and A57 Priestley Street.
Closure is to allow United Utilities to carry out water main and service pipe renewal.
