New boxing classes for youngsters

YOUNGSTERS interesting in learning Boxing can now receive expert tuition at a weekly class which has started in Warrington.
Coach Tom Mellor teaches the non-contact class at Whittle Hall Community Centre from 7.30pm to 8.30pm every Friday night.
So far the class has been funded by the Great Sankey Parish Council. Now the class has been guaranteed for a further 10 weeks but will cost of £1.50 per person.
Veronica Hudson, a Great Sankey parish councillor who works at Warrington Disability Partnership said: “All teens are welcome to attend, whether they are able bodied or not, as a way of keeping fit, learning a new sport and making new friends.
“The classes have proved quite successful and £1.50 per session is a small amount to pay for expert tuition from Tom Mellor the coach”.
