Over fifties quizzed on housing

0

PEOPLE over 50 are being invited to take part in a survey on housing by Warrington Borough Council.
It coincides with predictions that the number of people over 65 in Warrington is due to increase by over a third by 2021.
Housing officers want to hear from the over 50s on everyday problems faced in their homes – such as climbing stairs, gardening or decorating. They also want to hear about health or money worries, or from people wanting advice on adapting homes.
Results will enable the council to plan more effectively to meet the future needs of an ageing population. The long term goal is to help residents to live happy, healthy and independent lifestyles for as long as possible, preferably in their own home.
Anyone over 50 who would like to take part in the survey should visit www.warrington.gov.uk/consultation, or pick up a questionnaire from the library or the Warrington Home Information and Improvement Agency in the Gateway, Sankey Street.
