Bridge closure

A SERIES of night time closures and day time restrictions start on the Cantilever Bridge at Latchford, Warrington tonight (Saturday) when work starts on an 18-week programme of repainting the bridge structure. Diversions will be signposted.

Hospital lottery

WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 7, 11 and 15 – but the jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be “rolled over” to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff.

New minister

THE Rev Lee Gilbert has become Latchford Baptist Church’s first full time minister in 40 years. For the last three years he has been minister in training at the Loushers Lane church.

Residents’ group

RESIDENTS of Saxon Park, Sankey Bridges, Warrington have formed a residents’ committee to campaign for improved conditions and more amenities for the estate.
