PROVIDERS of tourism services in Warrington are being invited to celebrate their success in a competition to find the best in Cheshire.
The winners will be honoured at a glitzy ceremony at Chester Racecourse in June.
Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, visitor attractions, tourism website managers and retailers determined to defy the economic downturn and boost business are encouraged to bid for honours in the prestigious Visit Chester and

Cheshire Annual Awards.
There are 14 categories to choose from including Bed and Breakfast of the Year, Excellence in Business Tourism and the Sustainable Tourism Award. Entries will be judged by a panel of experts.
Winners of a number of categories will automatically qualify for England’s North West Tourism Awards, organised by the North West Development Agency (NWDA). If successful, they may go on to the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.
Warrington has enjoyed great success at the annual awards in recent years and last year Bents Garden and Home at Glazebury collected the Tourism Retail Award, and the Park Royal Hotel, Stretton was recognised for its Excellence in Business Tourism.
Emma Bellis, business and events manager at award organisers Visit Chester and Cheshire, said: “Every year, it’s evident that the awards process is an amazing experience for all those who enter. It’s a fantastic opportunity to give businesses confidence – especially in these trying times – and also a great excuse to glam up and enjoy a fantastic evening out!
“Any business that believes it has achieved something in its approach to quality, innovation and service should enter.”
Nominations close on April 10 and further information is available by contacting Visit Chester and Cheshire on 01244 405 600. Criteria and nomination forms are available online at www.visitchesterandcheshire.co.uk
